Christmas Break

Christmas Break is coming to an end.  It's always so much fun since Brandon and I are both teachers.  We both get two weeks off of work to do exactly whatever we would like to do.  This year, our Christmas Break events included going to the Purdue/Butler and IU/Notre Dame games, going to DC and Williamsburg, and then of course having Christmas with both of our families.  I did an awful job of taking pictures this year (even though the hubs bought me a brand new camera).  I've made sure to get lots of rest this break as well in anticipation for Baby Wags to make his arrival!  Tonight is New Years Eve.  We really have no plans but here's to hoping 2012 is as great as it can be!

Baby Makes 3!

Well... it's been over a year since I have blogged.  Honestly, I know hardly anyone reads this thing... but I wanted to be able to use it as a journal to look back and see what I was up to.  Well, it's been a year and apparently I have been up to nothing since I haven't written a thing...

Actually... quite the opposite is true!  On June 6th, Brandon and I found out that we were expecting our first child!  This was a big surprise to us both!  When I told Brandon, he looked at me, his mouth dropped and he said "Really????" and not the excited kind of really.  I think he was in complete shock!

Well, fast forward about six months later and here we are... 7 months pregnant with a little boy!  We are preparing every single day for our lives to be changed here in just a few months.  Brandon has been painting the nursery (green) and of course, momma's been doing some necessary shopping!  This baby has so many clothes, hats, and shoes that I really doubt he'll be able to wear it all before outgrowing it.  My mother has been OUT.OF.CONTROL with buying shoes and making owls (oh yeah... that's the nursery decor)!  I can't wait to get some photos of the finished product to show everyone!

This pregnancy has been quite an experience.  From going to the doctor, I learned that I probably have kidney problems (nothing can be done until after the baby is born).  Some days, I get through the day thinking that I have had the easiest pregnancy ever.  Other days, I think that this has been the hardest pregnancy that ever existed (I know this is not true at all...).

I am experiencing so many different emotions at once... excitement, nervousness, and complete exhaustion!  I know that these feelings are never going to go away, so I might as well get used to the roller coaster of emotions.

I can't wait to lay eyes on our little man and hold him for the first time.  But until then, I have more shopping to do! :)
